When I bought the PS3 version I had expected to be able to put aside the PS2 copies, but instead the PS3 version occasionally goes into the machine to check for updates, then promptly comes out again only to be replaced by the PS2 titles.Ĭome on Sony London, make this game work the way it should. Perhaps the lack of updates wouldn’t be such an issue if there were better songs available, but the current selection is of a generally low quality.

The latest update had, if my memory serves me, 14 new tracks and they were mostly unexceptional except the Bowie track – and I already have that on the PS2 Singstar titles. When the game was released it was said that there would be around 50 new tracks per month. We’ve had one since the game launched a couple of months ago, and that was a mix of lacklustre tracks and ones that we’ve already paid for on the PS2 versions of the game. Speaking as a UK gamer, the frequency of updates has been utterly hopeless.
